Character Concept Art
There have been many concept pieces for Orphan Veil done over the years, but specifically for the time being, we will only be posting the recent pieces done by Cloudmallow! Currently, Lucy and Cloudy have been working very closely to bring the characters of Orphan Veil to life as authentically as possible. Not all of Cloudy's pieces are here, as many characters are still being worked out, but you can consider released pieces as OFFICIAL designs!
Orphan Toons - Cancelled
Orphan Toons is a cancelled line of comics following silly canon-adjacent adventures of the characters. If you want a bit of a break from how depressing Orphan Veil can be in its darkest moments, these are a good way to get some smiles going!
Note from the Author:
I cancelled this line of comics for a few reasons, but none can be more responsible than the cost. It was extremely expensive to produce these comics, and while they do look amazing and I am a big fan of them most of the time, these comics, if anything, hurt the image of Orphan Veil. With little visual content as is, the silly nature of these comics led people to believe that the tone of Orphan Veil was changing to be lighter in the future. This is absolutely not the case. For that reason, I threw in a few stingers during Orphan Toons like entry 4&7. I realized quickly that entries like that were my favorite, as they serve to tell the stories of Orphan Veil a lot better. Resources from the comics were diverted into character concept work and have been used to bring many of the Orphan Veil characters who've yet to be seen to life. A web comic adaptation of the series as mainline entries release is my goal for the future, but there's a lot of work to do first.
